Why get married in church?

These days there are a wide variety of places for couples to have a wedding. Having a church wedding means you are acknowledging God is a part of your relationship and life. You can have a church wedding whether you attend church regularly or not.

A church wedding will include religious language, hymns and other religious music, prayers, and readings from the Bible. The hymns and readings are personal choices and will vary from wedding to wedding. If you are unsure of what you would like to have, the minister will be happy to help you with the selection. To help you, at the bottom of this page there are also some readings and hymns which are often chosen for weddings.
